Program in the Humanities

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Faculty

The UNC Program in the Humanities and Human Values draws faculty presenters from UNC College of Arts and Sciences, as well as other university divisions.

The Humanities Program also hosts faculty from colleges and universities all over the state including North Carolina State University, Duke University, Wake Forest University, and even as far away as Pomona College in Los Angeles.

“The Program in the Humanities serves an incredible role, both in the University, within the larger community, and then within the state. It’s just an incredible opportunity for me as a faculty member to share work that I’m doing with grown ups who are very responsive and to also work with an exciting group of colleagues and other faculty members and to receive feedback about important work we’re doing and to understand how the community relates to that.” – Marcie Cohen Ferris, Associate Professor in the Department of American Studies and Director of Undergraduate Studies for American Studies.
