Alumni Summer College
This year’s Alumni Summer College is organized in conjunction with the Center for the Study of the American South, the General Alumni Association, the Ackland Art Museum, and the Institute for the Arts and Humanities. This year’s theme is Old and New: Studying the South in the 21st Century.
Some reactions from last year’s participants:
I appreciated the beautiful location and the organization of this event. I also loved that there was time scheduled for people to enjoy the campus and the town of Chapel Hill.” ~Participant, 2012
This was a wonderful program! The speakers were great and I have a much greater understanding of and appreciation for history and for the resources at UNC. The staff’s warmth, friendliness, and strong availability also added to the enjoyment of the three days.” ~Participant, 2012

“This has been one of the most remarkable experiences I have ever had! I was sorry to see it end. It made me envious of my fellow students who were exposed to a more liberal arts education. I can’t wait to come back and am already looking forward to next year!” ~Participant, 2012
