Graeme Robertson, Associate Professor of Political Science

Russian foreign policy may vex many in the West, even while the motivations and methods of Russian state leaders are not fully understood. Graeme Robertson will address challenges Russia has faced since the fall of the Soviet Union and provide historical context for the recent policies and actions of President Putin. While some see a new Cold War developing, a more nuanced approach suggests that Russia’s new economic, social, and political challenges herald a whole new era in its domestic history and its international relations.
