NC Civic Education Consortium
The NC Civic Education Consortium, a program of UNC-Chapel Hill’s Program in the Humanities & Human Values, works to extend the resources of the University to North Carolina’s K-12 educators. We offer quality professional development programs which include access to scholars on key topics, innovative lesson plans, and interactive pedagogical training. To learn more about the Consortium and to access our online Database of K-12 Resources, click here.
For more information about the Consortium and our K-12 offerings, contact Christie Hinson Norris at 919.843.9387 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students in Durham, NC participate in the Consortium’s lesson plan, “Exploring African American Service & Leadership in North Carolina,” after their teacher attended the Consortium’s training “The Freedom Riders & the American Civil Rights Movement.”
