Big Decisions and Transformative Experiences
March 4, 2014
L.A. Paul, Professor of Philosophy
Come hear philosopher L.A. Paul discuss how some of life’s biggest choices are like the choice to become a vampire. What?! While life’s choices don’t usually involve the possibility of becoming an immortal monster, Paul will show how big life decisions involve choices to have experiences that teach us things we cannot know about from any other source but the experience itself. From choosing to have a child or embarking on a new career, choices involve taking a leap of faith that our future will be satisfying. Join in this insightful discussion of human desires, decisions, and disappointments.
