The Decline of the U.S. Congress
May 27, 2015
Jason M. Roberts, Associate Professor of Political Science
The public’s confidence in the U.S. Congress to adequately address the problems faced by the country has never been lower. Congress now gets worse poll numbers than root canals and head lice. Jason Roberts will address the causes of the crisis of confidence that Congress faces today. He will also consider the consequences that this decline has had on policy-making and on the relative power of the executive and judicial branches of government.
