A Little More Than Kin, and Less Than Kind: Shakespeare’s Family Ties
April 12 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
$30 – $80Join beloved Shakespeare expert Dr. Mary Floyd-Wilson for a day exploring the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of family life in the Bard’s plays. We’ll focus on two family stories: the tragedy of King Lear and the comedy As You Like It. Over four hundred years after their creation, these works are still speaking to the difficult negotiation of love, loyalty, and loathing that color relationships in many families. Participants will receive a copy of each play in advance of the seminar.
