Freedom of the Press in Contemporary America

June 21, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

featuring Mary-Rose Papandrea, Professor of Law

In a world of “fake news” and the mainstream media being portrayed as an “enemy of the people,” we pause to consider the role of a free press in America and its difficult position in an increasingly diverse world of information. Join law professor Mary-Rose Papandrea as she discusses the particular challenges facing the press as it serves a divided country and a skeptical administration. Is the press still truly free in America?
