Dangerous Liaisons at the Ackland: An Evening of French Enlightenment Art and Literature

Carolina Public Humanities is teaming up with the Ackland Art Museum for a dangerously enlightening evening of French art, literature, and wine!

Join Jessica Tanner, Assistant Professor of French, in a robust discussion of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’ scandalous novel Dangerous Liaisons, followed by a close look at the charming and challenging new exhibition Becoming a Woman in the Age of Enlightenment: French Art from the Horvitz Collection, led by Ackland’s Director of Academic Programs, Carolyn Allmendinger.

Every participant will receive a copy of the book in advance.  Seats are limited to 20 participants, so sign up early to reserve your spot!
