Ethics and Public Policy Experiments
March 5 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
$10Featuring Doug MacKay, Associate Professor of Public Policy
Social scientists, often working with government agencies and nongovernment organizations, frequently evaluate public policy interventions using experiments such as randomized controlled trials. This talk will explore the potential of experiments to identify the causal impacts of policy interventions and discuss the ethical issues they raise, including the fairness of using a coin flip to decide who gets access to a promising intervention.
