Every Journey a Story: The Refugee Experience

Just a quick email to let you know that we’ve got a new Humanities on the Road event titled: “Every Journey a Story: The Refugee Experience”, which is centered around a book selection, Call Me American: A Memoir by Abdi Nor Iftin. This panel event will be held in Bodenhamer Auditorium on the campus of Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville, NC on Wednesday, October 30 from 2:15-3:15 pm. There is no cost to attend the event.

There will be four panelists:

  • Representative from Interfaith Refugee Ministry in New Bern
  • Smita Misra- Adams Fellow for the Public Humanities 
  • Josh Hinson – Director, UNC’s Refugee Mental Health and Wellness Initiative

This event will be held in the Bodenhamer Auditorium on Coastal Carolina Community College’s Jacksonville campus.
