During this afternoon of conversation and music we will delve into the evolution of opera and its place in the contemporary world. Featuring a panel of experts from the NC Opera, The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle, and musicologists from UNC, this seminar will explore how the artform has changed and who opera speaks to today. With performances from NC Opera’s production of Florencia en el Amazonas, this seminar will entertain, educate, and confirm that opera is indeed for everyone!
