In the era of COVID-19, the memory of the Black Death, the fourteenth-century plague, speaks to us in new and urgent ways. Professor Whalen will explore parallels, similarities, and divergences between the Black Death and our current experience of a global pandemic.

This CPH special event will be held online as a Zoom webinar.
