The Gamification of War
May 11, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
FreeThis virtual panel discussion will look at how games – from video games to tabletop games to classroom simulations – have been used to translate military experience for a civilian audience. Tune in for a live discussion of these questions and more with a panel of experts that includes veterans, military historians, and historical war game designers. And if you’d like to hear more from each of these experts, check out interviews with each of our panelists here, on CPH’s YouTube page.
This program is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required (visit: https://unc.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Z0ADuRZBQLu7x1lRy2vy3Q). It is organized and moderated by Matthew Gibson, a PhD Candidate in the Department of History at UNC-CH whose research focuses on military-civilian relations. Matthew is working with Carolina Public Humanities as this year’s Humanities for the Public Good Fellow. View the Gamification of War – Flyer.
