Jonathan Oberlander, Professor of Social Medicine, School of Medicine, and Professor of Health Policy and Management, Gillings School of Global Public Health

There may be a time when the Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”) isn’t a hot button issue, but so long as it’s in the news, we are happy to call on Jon Oberlander, UNC’s resident expert on health policy and a nationally-recognized expert on translating the arcane and intricate world of healthcare and the insurance system into everyday English. A lot has happened since he last spoke in 2013: The Supreme Court upheld the law, the website crashed, and 7 million people now have insurance. Come by and learn about the law, its past, and its future!
