Wonder what’s happening in Greece these days? Or how the Euro, once lauded as a cornerstone of continent-wide stability, has become a source of contention? Join Klaus Larres as he discusses the vision and history that shaped postwar attempts to bring European nations into closer political and economic cooperation. This lecture will explore the promise of institutions such as the European Union, while exposing the inherent contradictions in imposing supranational policies on individual nations.
