Come enjoy a fine meal at the Siena Hotel with stimulating conversation guaranteed! This event will feature short talks from scholars on creativity in the production of Sweeney Todd, Sondheim’s musical about obsession and revenge. Guided discussions from our experts over a three-course meal will be interspersed with appearances by the cast. This event promises to give participants a well-rounded perspective on the production, with presentations by UNC faculty including PlayMakers’ brand new Producing Artistic Director, Vivienne Benesch, dramaturg Gregory Kable and set designer Jan Chambers. No meat pies here, just thought-provoking discussion, good company, inspiring performances, a delicious meal, a beautiful venue, and a nice, safe chocolate torte!
