Cancellation Policies

We reserve the right to cancel events or meals in case of insufficient enrollment or weather. If Carolina Public Humanities cancels an event, the full tuition amount will be refunded.

As a unit of UNC-Chapel Hill, we are not permitted to conduct events if the University is officially closed. If we are unable to reschedule the event, full refunds will be issued. 

Adventures in Ideas Weekend Seminars

Refunds for tuition (minus a $30 administrative fee for each registration) and optional meals will be issued for cancellations made at least two business day before the event.

Dialogues Weekend Seminars

Refunds for tuition (minus a $10 administrative fee for each registration) will be issued for cancellations made at least two business day before the event.

Humanities in Action at Flyleaf Books & Language Lunches

Refunds for tuition (minus a $5 administrative fee for each registration) will be issued for cancellations made at least one business day before the Humanities in Action or Language Lunch event. Flyleaf Season Pass holders can receive a refund if it’s requested before the first event. Once the series has started, no refunds can be issued.

Great Books Reading Groups

Refunds for tuition (minus a $5 administrative fee) will be issued if a book has not been mailed. There is no refund once a book has been mailed.

Credit in Lieu of Refunds

If you are unable to attend an event, we are happy to provide you with credit for a future event. Registrants are charged reduced cancellation fees if choosing credit for a future event instead of a refund.
