The State of Journalism: Fake News in Context

April 9, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

In collaboration with Wayne Community College

News reporting and journalism have always been shot through with ideological influences, but our contemporary news landscape presents citizens with increasingly partisan options, not to mention a president who tosses the term “fake news” around with impunity. Daniel Kreiss, Director of the Ph.D. Program and Associate Professor in the School of Media and Journalism, will investigate Fake News in Context and help us critically examine journalism today.

This talk will take place at Walnut 101 at Wayne Community College

Free and Open to the public.
